Major Moscow's Strikes Cut Electricity Throughout Kyiv

Power facilities targeted in the region
Ukraine's energy systems have faced increased attacks in recent weeks

Throughout the evening, Russian aerial assaults have caused electricity outages in multiple districts of the capital city, Kyiv.

Nine people were wounded while local people in the city's east were left without electricity and dealt with disruption to water systems, according to municipal leaders.

At the same time, a minor was killed in a separate assault in the southeastern region in the country's south-east, according to area administrators.

Moscow has intensified attacks on energy facilities over the past few days, while officials has demanded "substantial measures" from international partners to increase pressure on Moscow.

"What's needed is not superficial actions but decisive action - from the United States, Europe and the G7 - in supplying air defence systems and implementing penalties," he wrote in a public message.

Authorities reported that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and several dozen projectiles struck energy facilities, characterizing such strikes as "premeditated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as winter approaches.

Energy officials said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and maintenance teams were laboring to repair systems.

A wave of strikes struck power facilities and civilian homes in the capital.

Several of the people injured in the strikes on the city have been taken to hospital, per statements from municipal representatives.

Local officials said the urban area experienced significant strikes overnight. A minor lost their life and several individuals were injured.

The assaults follow nights of bombing campaigns in the territory, parts of which are occupied by Russian forces.

The whole nation is under warning for advanced weapon attacks, which are tougher to identify.

Government officials told reporters that Moscow was deliberately attempting to damage the electrical infrastructure, with assaults already disrupting gas facilities.

Officials stated utility staff and officials were anticipating additional strikes.
